Overview
From Paula Curtis Collection[1]: Ad fontes is a learning program of the University of Zurich for all those who work with historical materials. It is aimed not only at students of history and other historical disciplines, but also at interested amateurs and experts. Our site includes e-learning units on old Japanese maps (from Heian to Edo periods) and kuzushiji. For maps, it includes specific pages on map history, types, and guides to archival materials as well as exercises in reading maps.
