From Paula Curtis Collection[1]: This website features high-resolution images and explanations of the “bakemono no e” scroll (c. 1660) held by Brigham Young University. It depicts thirty-five bakemono (supernatural creatures) from Japanese folklore, hand-painted on paper in vivid color pigments accented with gold and silver pigments. It is part of the Harry F. Bruning Collection.
