Overview
From Paula Curtis Collection[1]: This project highlights book history and materiality using high-quality digitizations of the the University of Southern California (USC) Library’s collection of Japanese rare books published prior to 1868. University of Southern California (USC) Libraries. The primary purpose is to teach students about the materiality of the book in Japan, adding further depth to programs in Japanese history and literature by offering students an opportunity to engage with original materials and making Japanese book history available as a topic for comparative study.
