From Paula Curtis Collection[1]: This project animates the sequential text of the Lotus Sutra as it constructs the pagoda form in the thirteenth-century jeweled pagoda mandalas of Ryuhonji in order to reveal the performativity of word/image and relic/reliquary in the textualised paintings.
