Overview

From Paula Curtis Collection[1]: This site provides an interface to the index of Hôbôgirin (法宝義林), a directory of titles, authors and translators published in 1931 of the Sino-Japanese Buddhist Canon. This supplement contains valuable apocryphal texts composed in China, works in Chinese written by Japanese in the ancient period and volumes of iconography. Users can search and browse the data of Hôbôgirin on the site’s map and the timeline. This Web site provides a 法寶義林(Hôbôgirin) file compliant with TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) P5 Guidelines. It allows the user to extract various types of data by use of the TEI/XML elements and attributes embedded to the text data of the 法寶義林.
